Posdaya Gagasan Fenomenal Angkat Keterpurukan Masyarakat

Fenomena masyarakat saat ini terasa semakin luntur sifat kegotongroyongannya. Bahkan kepedulian terhadap sesama semakin berkurang sehingga kecurigaan merajalela. Boleh jadi, yang lagi tren saat ini di masyarakat ada lah istilah ’SDM’ (selamatkan diri masing-masing). Pos Pemberdayaan Keluarga (Posdaya) yang digagas Ketua Yayasan Damandiri Prof Dr Haryono Suyono sungguh terobosan yang fenomenal, bagaikan angin segar di saat teriknya panas. Posdaya memberi pencerahan baru yang mendorong masyarakat Indonesia agar kembali ke jati dirinya, yaitu peduli terhadap sesama dan tumbuhnya kembali sifat kegotongroyongan.
“Luar bisa, Program Posdaya sebuah gagasan yang sangat hebat. Prof Dr Haryono Suyono memang memiliki komitmen yang sangat tinggi untuk mengangkat masyarakat Indonesia dari keterpurukan, baik sosial, ekonomi, politik, malah terpuruk segalanya,” ujar Sekretaris Lembaga Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Kuningan ((LPM Uniku) Arif Supriatna menanggapi Program Posdaya yang digagas Profesor Haryono.
Lebih lanjut Arif Supriatna menjelaskan, Progam Posdaya Berbasis Sekolah yang bergulir di daerahnya diterapkan di dua sekolah, yaitu SMA Negeri I Lebakwangi, yang beralamat Jl Raya Cinagara, Kecamatan Lebakwangi, Kabupaten Kuningan, Jawa Barat dan SMA Negeri I Garawangi, yang beralamat Jl Raya Garawangi No. 34, Kecamatan Garawangi, Kabupaten Kuningan, Jawa Barat.
“Pelaksanaan Program Posdaya untuk tahap tahun pertama meliputi pelatihan life skill bagi siswa-siswi SMA, pemberian beasiswa plus untuk mahasiswa pendamping, study visit bagi sembilan guru SMA pelaksana Posdaya dan study visit bagi kepala sekolah,” jelas Sekretaris LPM Uniku Arif Supriatna.
SMA Negeri I Garawangi dan SMA Negeri I Lebakwangi, Kuningan, Jabar, yang mendapat kepercayaan LPM Uniku, untuk menerapkan pelaksanaan Program Posdaya Berbasis Sekolah, memberikan kesempatan kepada 20 siswa SMAN I Garawangi dan 20 siswa SMAN I Lebakwangi untuk diberikan pelatihan life skill sesuai dengan keinginan, minat dan bakat masing-masing siswa di setiap sekolahnya.
Sedangkan untuk para guru pelaksana diberikan kesempatan untuk melakukan study visit. Para pelaksana Posdaya guru SMA N I Garawangi mengadakan study visit ke SMA Negeri 1 Ciamis, Jabar dan para pelaksana Posdaya guru SMA Negeri I Lebakwangi mengadakan study visit ke SMA N 1 Majalengkara, Jabar.
Pembuatan telur asin, kerupuk gendar (kerupuk makaroni) dan pembuatan emping melinjo menjadi pilihan pelatihan life skill yang diminati oleh siswa-siswi SMAN I Garawangi, Kuningan. Sedangkan siswa-siswi SMAN I Lebakwangi, Kuningan lebih berminat pada pelatihan hasta karya, kerajinan, pembuatan souvenir yang punya nilai komersil, sablon dan tata boga.
Tak pelak, para siswa dan guru dari sekolah yang mendapat kehormatan untuk mengikuti pelaksanaan Program Posdaya Berbasis Sekolah menyambut dengan gembira bahkan begitu semangat dan antusias mengikuti pelatihan life skill, yang diberikan mahasiswa Uniku selaku pendamping sesuai dengan minat masing-masing siswanya.
Dalam menyosialisasikan Program Posdaya, Ketua Lembaga Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Kuningan (LPM Uniku), Kuningan Wirasmo, yang saat ditemui diwakilkan Arif Supriatna sebagai Sekretaris LPM Uniku mendapat dukungan penuh dari Rektor Uniku Kahari. Bahkan, tidak segan-segan semuanya terjun langsung ke tempat sosialisasi untuk memberi pengarahan dan semangat baik kepada mahasiswa pendamping, guru-guru pelaksana Posdaya Berbasis Sekolah maupun para siswa SMA yang menjadi target pelaksanaan program Posdaya. Hal ini dilakukan demi suksesnya pelaksanaan Program Posdaya di wilayah Kuningan yang juga menjadi harapan Ketua Yayasan Damandiri Prof Dr Haryono Suyono.
Tak heran, pelatihan life skill yang diberikan kepada para siswa, baik para siswa dari SMA Negeri I Garawangi maupun SMA N I Lebakwangi, Kuningan, saat ini sudah membuahkan hasil yang membanggakan. Siswa-siswa SMAN I Garawangi yang menekuni pelatihan pembuatan telur asin, kerupuk gendar (makaroni) dan pembuatan emping melinjo, mereka bukan hanya mampu memproduksi sendiri bahkan hasilnya sudah mampu dipasarkan baik di lingkungan sekolah maupun masyarakat sekitar.
Tidak kalah dengan para siswa SMA N I Garawangi, Kuningan, hal serupa dirasakan juga para siswa SMA N I Lebakwangi, Kuningan, yang lebih menekuni pelatihan hasta karya, kerajinan, pembuatan souvenir, sablon dan tata boga. “Mereka bukan hanya mampu membuat hasi-hasil karya dari usahanya mengikuti pelatihan. Bahkan saat ini sudah mampu membuat kreasi-kreasi baru dengan kualitas tidak kalah dengan produksi-produksi yang ada sekarang sehingga saat dipasarkan baik di lingkungan sekolah maupun masyarakat sekitar mendapat respon yang membanggakan,” papar Arip Supriatna dengan nada semangat dan sumringah.
“Pembuatan souvenir yang mereka hasilkan sudah banyak dipesan baik oleh guru-guru maupun relasi guru untuk acara pernikahan, khitan atau hajatan lainnya. Bahkan, pemesanan bisa satu paket dengan tata boga atau ketering juga kartu undangan hasil dari ketrampilan sablon para siswa SMA N I Lebakwangi, Kuningan,” tambahnya.
Tidak heran, jika hal ini memberikan dampak positif bagi mahasiswa pendamping. “Mahasiswa yang dilibatkan sebagai konsultan Usaha Kecil dan Menengah (UKM) setempat di mana dia tinggal sekaligus pendamping para siswa saat mengikuti pelatihan life skill, juga terdorong untuk mengikuti jejak langkah yang dilakukan para siswa bimbingannya. Mereka menjadi tertarik bisnis sendiri, bahkan saat ini sudah ada yang berhasil dari bisnisnya itu,” ungkap Sekretaris LPM Uniku Arif Supriatna.
Program Posdaya Berbasis Sekolah tidak hanya mempunyai nilai tambah bagi siswa, guru atau sekolah yang bersangkutan, mahasiswa pendamping, namun berdampak juga bagi orang tua para siswa yang mengikuti kegiatan Posdaya. Pasalnya, bukan hanya dari segi ekonomi keluarga yang merasa dibantu untuk biaya sekolah anaknya atau biaya keseharian keluarganya. Tetapi, yang paling berharga adalah kebanggaan terhadap kemandirian anaknya yang semangat untuk belajar dan berwirausaha, sebagai bekal berharga untuk kehidupannya di masa yang akan dating. Hal itu merupakan buah dari mengikuti Program Posdaya Berbasis Sekolah yang digagas Ketua Yayasan Damandiri Prof Dr Haryono Suyono.
Bahkan tidak segan-segan ada sebagian orang tua siswa yang dengan senang hati menyediakan rumahnya untuk melakukan kegiatan wirausaha para siswa. “Sudah di sini saja buat usahanya,” ujar bapak lima anak – yaitu M Faqih Fiqmal Z, M Farhan Wildani Z, Firna Flarestiana AP, M Faiz Nashiruddin A dan M Fayyadh Rasendriya A - buah pernikahannya dengan Henni Rosa Triwardani, menirukan ucapan salah satu orang tua siswa yang antusias mendukung bergulirnya Program Posdaya Berbasis Sekolah.
“Saya optimis Program Posdaya yang digulirkan Profesor Haryono ini sebuah program yang mulia, walaupun hasilnya bagaikan setitik air di lautan luas, tetapi kita sudah berbuat,” tegas pria kelahiran Kuningan, 15 April 1970 kepada Ade Sudrajat dari Majalah Gemari belum lama ini.
“Dan saya yakin Program Posdaya ini digulirkan untuk mengangkat kembali modal sosial yang saat ini sudah hampir punah. Ini gagasan yang sangat baik, walau hal ini akan tergantung kepada pelaksana, khususnya kami selaku LPM Uniku. Tetapi kami optimis insya Allah bisa, walaupun nanti ada kendala namun kita bisa cari solusinya,” tambah Arif Supriatna semangat seraya kagumnya terhadap gagasan Posdaya yang dicetus Prof Dr Haryono Suyono.
“Semoga keberhasilan di Desa Garawangi dan Desa Lebakwangi ini bisa merembet ke desa-desa sebelahnya, masyarakatnya bisa turut berpartisipasi. Bahkan lebih luas dari itu, pemerintah daerah bisa melek bahwa dengan pemberdayaan yang diusung Program Posdaya ternyata bisa,” tegas Arif Supriatna seraya berharap, untuk tahap berikutnya bisa berkembang, dari Desa Garawangi ke Desa Gewok sedang untuk Desa Lebakwangi bisa meluas ke Desa Garaherang.
Walaupun Program Posdaya ini program jangka panjang, namun jika dilaksanakan dengan baik oleh segenap keluarga, menurut Arif Supriatna ada sebuah harapan yang luar biasa untuk mengangkat kembali masyarakat dari keterpurukan. “Keluarga adalah komponen terkecil masyarakat, kalau keluarga terangkat maka seluruh masyarakat pun akan terangkat,” tambah Arif Supriatna seraya barsyukur kepada Allah SWT dan berterima kasih kepada Ketua Yayasan Damandiri Prof Dr Haryono Suyono yang memberi kepercayaan kepada LPM Uniku untuk menyosialisasikan Program Posdaya.

It has been reported that the number of new graduates and foreign-trained nurses is insufficient to meet the demand for registered nurses; this is often referred to as the nursing shortage and is expected to increase for the foreseeable future.
Among the many cited causes for the nursing shortage is the lack of qualified doctoral or master degree prepared faculty for college RN programs. Students cannot be admitted to school if there is no faculty to teach them. Furthermore, there is evidence that faculty positions for RN programs do not command equivalent salaries to those of their peers in other fields. Another factor affecting the nursing shortage is that after education, Registered Nurses typically do not remain long in the profession, especially those working in more traditional hospital health care roles] The two primary reasons given for leaving the profession are poor working conditions (e.g. long and irregular hours and an absence of sufficient numbers of health care providers, such as aides); and salaries which are not commensurate with the responsibilities of the profession.
Other factors such as a high index of accountability, role-limited autonomy, and physical labor demanded of clinical positions are also seen as deterrents to those considering becoming a Registered Nurse. As well, many systems and practices in nursing are heavily oriented toward the social and gender patterns and practices of women, which can hinder consideration of nursing as a profession by men. Finally, the hierarchical nature of health care in the USA places physicians in a "power-over" position in relation to the status of Registered Nurses, limiting the services of the profession, despite the growing numbers of advanced practice nurses (APN) or extensive clinical and professional knowledge, skills, and abilities of nursing staff.
The American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN) is concerned about the labor shortage in the field of nursing and has been working to enact legislation, identify strategies, and form cooperative efforts with all interested people and groups to address this problem. The AACN has also published a fact sheet containing current statistics related to the shortage (found here )
